Privacy policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
BLGL Hub is an independent, fan-run guide to BL and GL. You don't need an account to read the site. We only process the personal data below if you subscribe to emails, follow something or become a member.
What we collect
- Email address — to send sign-in links, alerts about what you follow and, if you subscribe, the weekly digest.
- Account settings — the series, AI shorts, novels and couples you follow, your email language, alert and digest switches, created/updated times.
- Membership — plan (free/member), subscription status, paid-through date, and your Stripe customer and subscription IDs. We never see or store your card number; Stripe handles payments.
- Technical data — our host keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and browser) for security and abuse prevention.
Cookies and local storage
bh_s— sign-in session cookie (httpOnly, cryptographically signed, 60 days). Only used to know you are signed in.bh_in— a hint cookie with no personal data, so pages know whether to load your follow state.- Your chosen site language is stored in your browser.
No advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. Our alert emails have open and click tracking turned off (the weekly digest is sent by Kit; see Kit's privacy policy for its reporting).
Who processes your data
- Vercel — website hosting and account storage (Vercel Blob).
- Resend — sign-in and alert emails.
- Kit (ConvertKit) — the weekly digest list and sending.
- Stripe — membership payments, subscriptions and billing.
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We never sell or rent your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept until you delete your account. Deleting removes your email, follows and settings from our storage immediately. Stripe keeps its own payment records as the law requires, and provider backups and logs expire on their own schedules.
Your rights and deleting your data
- Delete your account — sign in and use “Delete my account and data” on your account page. It takes effect immediately (cancel an active membership in billing first).
- Unsubscribe — every alert email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and so does every digest.
- See and correct — your account page shows everything we store about your account, and you can change it any time.
Children
BLGL Hub is meant for people aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, please don't create an account or subscribe.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, email registered users.
